Spherical roller bearings are double-row, self-retaining units comprising inner rings with two raceways inclined at an angle to the bearing axis, outer rings with a common sphered raceway, spherical rollers, cages, and in certain designs also internal guide rings, or center rings. The Spherical Roller bearings can also be sealed.
Due to the spherical internal shape of the outer ring and spherical rollers, the spherical roller bearings are self-aligning and insensitive to misalignment of the shaft relative to the housing, which can be caused, for example, by shaft deflection. They can accommodate both heavy radial loads and axial loads.
HOJE spherical roller bearings are available in types of EA, CC, CA, and MB. Types EA and CC have pressed steel cages, while types CA and MB have a brass cages. Type EA has especially high load capacity, features low torque, and has a high-strength cage. Spherical roller bearings are widely used in construction machinery, paper machine, gearbox, vibration screen, etc.

HOJE Spherical roller bearings are fitted with one of the following cages.
- CA: Retaining flanges on the inner ring, guide ring centered on the inner ring, machined brass cage
- CC: Flangeless inner ring, guide ring centered on the inner ring, two stamped steel cages
- CCJA: Flangeless inner ring, guide ring centered on the outer ring raceway, two stamped steel cages
- MB: Machined brass cage, inner ring centered
- MA: Machined brass cage, outer ring centered
